Korean Rip off

Boy were we surprise when Robbin and I received an email from a Korean advertising creative last week. He's seen our Google Fashion Show ad that we did at W+K Tokyo and pointed us towards this fabulously bad rip off by a beverage company in Korea.

Our spot:

And below's the new spot from Korea:

I guess we should feel flattered? And our cast was much cuter.

L-O-L. I saw that on korean television the other day. The strange thing is that "Daum" IS the korean google, kind of. Why on earth would they (if they knew) approve an idea like that? or ...WHY would a creative take an idea from a neighbouring country. Questions questions...

LOL! This was so close I almost thought it was the same in the beginning...or almost anyways. They should have thought of that you can use the lens to zoom in and out using the lens.

Woah! There's no questioning where they got their inspiration for this Korean spot. Unreal.

Guys! I just got reminded of this post again when I was talking to the creative director of the agency I'm interning at for the moment.
He helped me find out the name of the agency, it's "Unitas Kiss" and they can be reached at: www.kisscreative.com.
