Jai / Wal

We've been holding that down for a bit but we'll share it now. We're not a creative team anymore as we've split up. The main reason is that we have different ambitions in advertising and they don't seem to go along. We still have a couple of projects we're working on together and it would be awesome if they work out. Jai' accepted another three months at the Bank which he's following up at the moment. I'm making a new plan. I applied for a postgraduate course outside of London and I'm waiting for a reply. In the meantime I'll be looking around and speaking to agencies on my own. See what happens.

Wal, i really hope you get on to the Watford course, i'm guessing it's Watford as it's the best post grad course you can do.

If you do, Tony will whip you into shape and make you 100 times better. Also, you'll have a great book when you leave.

Good luck

how can you split up twice, before you even have a job? does this not worry you as i know a lot of creative directors like to know how much experience you have working together - that is if you're going to get another partner when you're done on the course?

First Jade Goody, then Jordan and Peter, and now this. Thats it, im gong to do it. Anyone have any tips on how best to slit your wrists?

its been fun reading.
Good luck with whatever you do next.

Will you keep blogging from Watford if you get on it? Good thing is, the course isn't that long and you'll have a better book and possible job by the end of next year.

Anonymous 3.09 - Vertical is best, anything under 2 inches is just wasting you time.

You did 3 years at BUCKS?

Why on earth you going to do a Postgrad.

What you need to do is work on the f-ing book.

Maybe you should go abroad though and try your luck, apparently its much easier and places like Germany have good agencies.

Jai's done the right thing, I take it you got offered a job but you think its not good enough?

Good Luck though.

I'm not sure the thing I'd do now is go for another course. I can't see what more you can achieve that you shouldn't have already had from all the book crits and advice from top industry names.

But good luck with wherever you end up!

3 years at uni - nearly 3 years since, somehow i personally don't think another year at uni is really going to help. Do they even do a creative post grad course at watford?

I wish you both the best of luck.

Wal, keep up the blog no matter what happens.

I pour a virtual 40 on the floor for you, but wish you all the luck in whatever you choose to do.

It would be a shame for the blog to end on this note, I was always hoping through the years that the story would have a happy ending and we'd see an employed team JW. But I guess the way this chapter has ended is just as important for readers as a Hollywood one.

You'll be back I'm sure :)

You would be much better off going to another country, london is right in the shit now for advertising as is the case in most countries, but there are still a few places that are pretty healthy, berlin, toronto, amsterdam etc. you should just pack your bags and head off, you'd have a much better life standard and give yourselves a starting point for one day heading back to london. i think another year of study will simply slow you down, unless you're off to study online, then you can go make a killing.

Say It isn't so! Can we expect a new blog...maybe a Jai and John or a Wal and Patrick?

Hyper Island??? slightly curious about it myself... haha.

If it's all that it's cracked up to be - there would be no question, if you've go the £ laying around.

When will you take that pair of scissors and cut your credit cards, Wal? You can have a job in less than 3 months. Staying the bum you are you will waste a lifetime ...

Who broke up with who?

Who cares really?

So Jai's taken some work and you're toying with the idea of more study - haven't you got enough studying under your belt already Wal? What more do you hope to learn in a classroom?

You've had agency experience, seen to CD's, freelance and a 1st class degree.

what is it you really want to do?

I can see you going around in circles and wasting the fine art direction skills you have.

Two partners down, three years have passed and you're back at square one. Hopefully you have gained from your experiences and you enjoy the course abroad and eventually land your dream job.

Good luck to you Jai too. Taking the offer of three months work at the bank sounds very wise to me. Best of luck to you.

Please don't do another year of study.

Watford is amazing, but it's not the magic answer.

Good luck.

Don't see the point of doing a post grad course, I'm on a post grad course now and even though its a great course it will teach you nothing new. Your industry experience is worth more than any post grad course

It would be a waste of time and money.
