That's not a great ad. It's not even a good ad. It's not an ad for Photoshop. It's an ad for an online store that sells Photoshop, and you can't even make out its URL.Also, the ad gives me no reason to buy Photoshop at that URL (which, again, is too small to even read). "As real as it gets" doesn't give me a reason to go to that site. The strapline is clearly just there to explain a visual that the team thought would be cool for a Photoshop ad... and then found a client who would put their name on it for free.
of course this ad smell of awardism, it doesn't bring the product across at all (the website). it still rocks, i love the idea of a physical replica of photoshop. i wish someone would have done that without selling, just as a picture.
Well then, say it's a nice picture. But don't say it's a great ad. Because it isn't. It's a completely ineffectual ad. If it happens to win an award anywhere it'll be a shame.
Photoshop is sooo 2005
I agree it's a nice image, the sort of thing StumbleUpon throws up from time to time, but it's not a good ad.Looks like the kind of thing Neil Beucannan used to make for his Art Attack specials. Could have been cool to see them put it together as a film if it was big enough.
you guys need to wisen up. advertising has changed. endlines mean shit. do something cool. something emotional. something funny. above all something that gets talked about... and then go and work for fallon, or glue society or wieden portland or anomaly or your own face. your own beautiful face on a plate. and then eat a kebab.
