Working all day, first caf, reading the brief, reading it again, running around in circles, surfing around, playing with the phone, changing location, changing music, rereading the brief, doubting the brief, doubting if you can deliver greatness, giving up, picking up again, thinking, chewing on everything around you, mindless sketching, joking, taking apart the problem, reassembling it again, texting, nonsense, the most random moment, almost the end of the day, the cliched spark, a line from the lips without thinking much, the tense silence, filled with oh's and ah's while a hundred and one new connections are made up there, based on this one thought.
You can't beat this stuff. That's why we're here.

Where are you?
You'd better be in your new office signing contracts.
Not a bad peice of writing there Wal!
These posts are starting to feel like the 3rd series of Lost. Cryptic and fun, but all the while giving no answers whatsoever, leaving the viewers turning over to a more interesting show.
Please do or produce something interesting soon please! I don't need to be reminded why advertising is fun :)
Reading this blog makes me thrilled i don't have one, lest i be tempted to type shit.
^^^^ What are you saying? ^^^^
It's a genius piece of writing. And it wasn't even Jai.
11:30 - you seem to be jumping to the conclusion it's a critism of Jai when someone comments about Wals writing.
I certainly wouldn't say it's genious - flows pretty well tho!
I agree, please post something with a bit of meat, otherwise you're just gonna get people bitching between themselves more or more, or simply loose readers.

bring on the stalking…
You know Wal, you could turn the tables and add STATCOUNTER to your blog so effectively you could see where all your visitors are coming from.
cheers. statcounter has been running here since the beginning of the blog, so all visitors are pretty well monitored :)
Did you really spend 2 months at AIS for example?
I'd be careful what you put on your CV and what is real. Many might not give a toss but others will judge you by it i.e. trustworthy, honest...
All visitors are monitored eh!
You make it sound like you've had continuous work placements - now I know that's not the case!
You've done well in terms of placements, getting into agencies, so why elaborate on the truth?
Given the fact that you still have Paperchase, NSPCC and Transport for London in your book, I'm a little confused as to why you haven't stuck with Tefal (no pun intended), Toyota, and perhaps even the Drink Aware ads.
This is just one man's opinion, but they're all nice campaigns. With strong end lines, too. The drink one is weakest, I'd say, but it's still a nice idea with a decent end line.
What say you, Wal? Have you been advised to bin them?
P.S. This is what happens when you post pictures of your hands ;-) Bloggeeks get bored and stalk you. Next stop: your house.
All nice campaigns, but Wal needs to show he can continually produce good work not reply on stuff from the past.
He also needs to show what he & Jai can do... They're a team. Again not rely on what Wal has done, but rather what they have produced together.
It's hard to take out good campaigns for new, but it has to be done.
I look forward to seeing some of your new work very soon.
