Quick one

Quick update, we'll post more when deadlines allow. Busy at the Bank. Got tickets for the NABS talk next week, it's a great lineup. Also thinking about going to Portfolio Night 7 in Amsterdam, why not? And it looks like some agencies are looking for talent, which is good news. Maybe intersting stuff happening. No swine flu between us yet.

Who cares about all this adland crap? Where are your new ideas and campaigns (as promised by you)...one a week wasn't it? So, you need to post up at least 3 new campaigns, no?

Do yourself a favor and don't tell everyone where you're going and which agencies are looking.

Anon above is right, there is more to this game than attending every NABS, Portfolio Night, Wanted Ads and 'let's all suck each other off coz were creative' nights.

There is more to this game than a blog.

I've seen a great team about called Rich and Gary, I believe they came down from Manchester. The refreshing thing was that they weren't stuck into 'the system', just heads down, placements, book crits, simple. They hardly even knew who scamp was yet I hear they've been to BBH.

Just get your heads down lads, it's good your busy, keep it that way and just get a fuckin job!

Hi Wal, Me and my partner also considered heading to Amsterdam for portfolio night (if the London one doesn't happen)

I've heard of people from London working in Amsterdam before. Although, maybe I'm being stupid about this, isn't language an issue?

Don't really feel I can just rock up to their portfolio night and expect their CD's to cater to me and speak English!

Anyone worked over there before??

I'd assume that everyone speaks english there, a friend of mine went over there to work at 180, he says it's fine. I think it should be fine at the portfolio night as well.

some agencies are looking for talent?
aren't all agencies in london, amsterdam, paris or new york looking for that? The real question is, have you got it?

trouble is they don't have any

I see nothing from the writer, and together it doesn't seem to be working. Wal you're a good AD, but that's nothing without great ideas.

Before jetting off to Amsterdam, perhaps you should reassess what you're doing and concentrate on the important things. Do you really need more book crits right now? Haven't you been around the houses at least twice over by now?

Hey Guys,

I just spoke to Brett at IHAI, it looks unlikely London is going to happen, even if an agency does shamelessly take on the hosting role, they won't be included in any of the literature as it's already been printed.

Looks like Amsterdam might be the option...
