Jai Time!

Yay, I'm off. Flying to Kiev and Yalta for two weeks.
Jai is going to do his magic here so long – enjoy.

Huh? Now it's stuff like this which makes me not get you Wal. Haven't you been going on and on about getting on the D&AD Workshops for months? Yet when you do you swan off for two weeks. Of course it's up to you and I couldn't care less what you decide to do with your time but this is just plain bizarre.

never mind the cheesy visual, man!

Wow, does this mean we'll get to hear what Jai tinks?

placements must pay well nowadays, think I might go back to them

wow, glad you can celebrate gaining a D&AD workshop place by jet-setting around. Been selling your body for money? You should have kept this news to yourself because this is great ammunition for all those haters. I do stick up for you Wal but you have brought this upon yourself this time pal! looking forward to seeing everyone else's views!

So he's not allowed to go and see his family??? Unbelievable comments. Why is that ammunition for haters? It took me 2 years to get a job, but I still had some sort of a life inbetween. Not unreasonable.

The way I see it, wal is my contender out there. And if he decides to take 2 weeks off, I'm actually very happy and grateful. When he's back I'll be 2 weeks ahead in this race.

cheers!

you dont go away when you have just secured a place on a D&AD workshop, others would kill to have that opportunity, so he leaves jai to do it by himself.
i say good luck jai, have a good time away wal, but consider your priorities a little better next time around.

Like they need to do D&AD workshops! They've just done a placement at W+K...D&AD's good, but they're way pasy that stage to be honest.

Jai, would be nice to hear some of your thoughts on your situation, I'm bored of Wal.

Wal's worked his arse off this year, as have I, he deserves this break. This trip was arranged months ago, way before the workshop entry. I don't mind one bit. I think partners being able to fill in for each other is one of the great things with working in a team. Have a wicked two weeks mate.

jai you fucking legend! well said. We love you Jai!

Is Jai just the alter ego of Wal?
JAIL!
Imagine...

Unfortunately ill-timed that's all.

Go and enjoy your break Wal and fill the gap as best you can Jai. It'll be good to her what you get up to whilst Wal's away.

oh my oh my oh my f***ing god. come on guys how low do you have to sink to bitch about Wal and Jai like this. they are doing an awesome job, and kicking some good briefs on placement at the same time.
how on earth can you pick on someone for having a break. if iam not wrong the average hired creative in london don't tend to work that hard at the best of times....something about fridays in the pub...get some fuc**g balls guys and give them support...
lets just think??? did anyone else do something like wal and Jai's blog when they were struggling to get hired....think not...??

@ anon 01:59. If these guys want to get a job I suggest they take advantage of things like the workshops. Sure, they are not what they once were but still worth doing. If your idea of doing an awesome job is getting a load of placements you are sadly mistaken. And what the hell has doing a blog got to do with getting a job? You think they should get kudos because they do a blog? No one cares. Ideas get you hired.

And there are no Wal haters on this blog. Just people who have been there, done it and are trying to offer advice. Some of it seems harsh, some of it not very eloquent, but mostly the underlying advice is sound.

Why did you bother applying to the workshops when you knew you wouldn't both be around?
Fair enough Jai will be around but the workshops are there for you to develop as a team. Good on jai for sticking up for his mate, but you know he's got to be a little pissed at the situation.
