After some punching, a little screaming and inevitable compromise here is what we've decided we are going to make of '08. Agreed it's not going to be easy, agreed there will be moments of anguish, but agreed the joy is in the journey.

very nice, me and my team mate do the snap a week and are in the process of producing a screen play, I like the 'don't be coy' I believe its good to be generous with your wisdom but I wish all the luck in those many goals...you will both need it
why on earth are you so determind to get into d&ad workshop? been there, done that, won the bugger and got nothing out of it. really. you've been on placements, you know enough people out there, go and see them, you know how to build a book and you've got a partner. unless you're starting your book anew, are you? really? really? i like your Greek attitude- 'healthy body- healthy mind'. lol
They're all great things to aim for, and sure many will help you become broader people (and therefor potentially more desirable) but I wouldn't lose sight of the main aim - and get your first job.
These things, in a round about way, amount to that, but I wouldn't forget what the focus is.
You need to create a great book of work you've done together, establish yourselves as a fab team and work from there. Presumably you've both got agency experience, so you just need to gather more together... In the process you'll no doubt acheive some of the other goals you've set yourselves.
proxi, the whole d&ad thing is just something we want to do because. no reason. we just want to see how it is.
we need start gettin paid, we want money to fund some of our projects :) still, the focus is clear, we need a great book, and a placement, followed by a job. but we believe our goals around the focus will help achieving this.
on our excercise list to try so far is kendo, streetdance and capoeira, lol, lets see what we'll pick up!

That's some Jerry Maguire shit right there.
An important thing I try to remember every day is...
If it stops being fun. Stop what you're doing, get out, then go back, and have a laugh.

I thought the exercise point was a nice touch, the wholoe active body active mind thing.
I recommend pole-vaulting
I agree with Proxikid. What's with all the placements? You need to start getting paid for your talent. Or rather, someone needs to start paying you.
I think you've got a very laudable list there. Good for you.
thanks neil! how are you doing lately?
