'08 Mugs

This week we’ve been saying hello to some of london’s creatives by giving them their very own personalised Creative in London mug along with some chai tea. Hand crafting them was an absolute nightmare at first but soon became a rather soothing experience, providing flashbacks of our more innocent days at primary school. Well today we delivered them all and now can’t help but gaze at our inbox for replies. Fingers crossed.

Oh and big thanks to all at the London Graphic Centre for your help.

a crafty way for creatives to remember you but how does it relate to advertising and your skills?
Do you have your website ad on them, your names etc?
I imagine it to be quite costly and timely to make these mugs, but thumbs up for having a go - they look well made.
Are they dishwasher safe? :)

What's the process for making the mugs?
I wouldn't know where to start but it would make a lovely gift for friends etc if I knew how to make them...
Any tips let me know!
Maybe the images are transfered on!?

that's quite presumptious of you to think every boy out there likes flowers.

i think the bought the mugs and used some sort of transfer, and as for the flowers, i think they're pretty cool its a nice vibrant way to brand yourselves although you could have put your contact details at the bottom so when they finish their cuppa they can look in the mug and say 'let me thank these guys' or something along that line

the mugs are not about our ad skills, its just a new years pack to say hello. we did include a note with contacts and names with the mug in a box.

the process was strange, we printed the design on special paper and brushed it on the mugs and sealed it twice afterwards. if you wanna make your own, just go to an art shop (we went london graphic center) and they'll give advice.

we like the design, maybe some 'boys' don't, but hey.

thanks for all your comments!

Have you had any response yet?

Maybe it's a bit early to expect any, but let us know the success of your new years mug packs - it'll be interesting to see how people in ad agencies respond to them in comparison to standard business cards, emails etc...

It's great if you get a foot in the door by doing this.

Keep us updated :)

What agencies are you visiting? All the best with meeting them, and I hope they'll all get mugs too
