The Portfolio Night madness is starting up again with videos popping up slowly, like
this one from David & Goliath who are hosting the event in Los Angeles. Tickets are already on sale for some cities, others are to follow. The event is a freaking great thing, it gives young creatives the chance to see Creative Directors with their books and get advice on them together with meeting like minded people.
We enjoyed last year a lot, but this year it looks like there is no agency to host it in London. Come on people, who can we imagine hosting that event? Last year it was JWT.

I'm sure if it happens again this year you'll enjoy it again, just like you enjoy everything else.
Why do you guys seem to act like you already have jobs all the time- by saying 'gives young creatives the chance to see creative directors' don't you think that's a bit patronising? you do realise you guys are still a junior team until you actually get employed
They could easily host it in the ghost canteen of tbwa.
Jai & Wal - you are in the same position as these 'young creatives' who can get a 'chance to see creative directors'
Yes you've some freelance experience and are three years out of uni but you're not above anyone else looking for their first job, placements, book crits...
I agree it comes across a little patronising and arrogant
guys, that's generally describing that event. of course we're young/junior creatives ourselves.
Hmmm, methinks Wal's telling the truth & some of you were a bit quick of the mark there, a bit too keen to give J & W a bit of a kicking.
Maybe he could have put 'young creatives, like ourselves...'
...but I'm sure something else would've been picked up on.
Guys i thought you were gonna put a new campaign up each week? it's two weeks now - you're slacking :)
Hey Jai and Wal, we at ihaveanidea haven't given up on Portfolio Night 7 London just yet! Keep your eyes on the site over the next few days. With a lot of work and a little luck, we'll be back in the UK again.
"Hopefully we’ll never have to go to another one ever ever again."
Is that a quote from last year anon 1:22?
A bit of deja vu perhaps after this years after - might be the third time around of attending!
I know this has got nothing to do with this topic but I was just wondering if anyone had seen a decent ad on TV in the last month.
They're all rubbish at the moment, don't you agree?
the new robinsons ad with the bird's cool.
Form a line for Formaline.
Genius.
They dont have a hot in New York just yet. I always thought london and new york would be a given.
