I don't mind that at all. It's a big part of the education, if they would introduce a degree like other universities they would have to play by their rules and establish exams, employ teachers etc. and that's just not what Hyper Island is about.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09755481930157115608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35498698.post-42037118446583990232009-12-15T15:29:48.934-07:002009-12-15T15:29:48.934-07:00That's right, i was just trying to ask what ha...That's right, i was just trying to ask what happens if Wal decides at some point to change into a different career or say become a planner. What qualification does hyper island give you? It may well be respected if you wan't to become a creative but in other fields you still need a degree or something of some sort. I know wal already has a degree, but what about others?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35498698.post-67152598383188223432009-12-15T11:17:26.594-07:002009-12-15T11:17:26.594-07:00Wal, I must admit I was skeptical when you first a...Wal, I must admit I was skeptical when you first announced you were off to Hyper Island. I was in the 'stick at it you'll get a job soon' camp. But it seems that you're learning so much great new stuff, boosting your interactive know-how, honing and improving your skill set and meeting some really interesting and talented people along the way. I've said it before and now I'll say it again: with your keen, happy demeanour you are going places young sir. It's inspiring. Fair...so what do you get given instead of a degree?<br />Fair enough being marked on real world situations etc but if you then decided not to become a creative and a planner or something you will be expected to have some sort of qualification. I'm guessing you have to have had a degree and learnt the old way before you go, otherwise to some it will seem that it's not even as good as a btec or hnd?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
