Wanted Ads Public Vote

Remember the Wanted Ads competition last month? The newspaper society uploaded all the work online so everyone can have a look and vote for their favorite. The brief was to promote HSBC's new world selection investment plan using local media. Tell us what you think of all the work.

  1. I voted for you not because I thought your work was best but BECAUSE I LIKE YOU. Welcome to the world of advertising corruption.

    I voted for myself.

  3. A lot of it can be 'who you know' not what you know.

Is there any benefit to winning the public vote Wal?

  4. don't know about the reward really, but you can see clearly, that the voting is a bit dodgy.

a single team get 50 votes in an the lunch hour on friday? it's a pity, it's totally manipulable.

  5. If you can't beat them join them - get voting for yourselves time after time.

Or, perhaps vote numerous times for the team you truly believe deserve to win.

i'm not sure it's worth the effort really though!

  9. @happy, yepp, their ideas is well wicked, a tanned bank note, we looked at it today and said, fuck yes. but they failed the brief as it was all about local media, thats my guess anyway.

  11. I liked Alex Allen & Joe Talboys' best, so I voted for them. But you can see how badly the voting system's getting played - the teams with jobs are sending all-agency emails pleading for votes.

    Internet voting never works.

  12. The brief was lame, the judging was lame, all the work was lame including the stuff we did. Why? Because everyone wanted to win by pleasing the clients. No real creativity got rewarded. Waste of time really.

Bloody awful, so much for simple ideas, I don't get most of them, especially yours j&w.

  14. Why is everyone voting for these guys? if you actually look at the work on the site others have done much better - this should not be a popularity vote.

  15. The guys that are top? Are they employed, or do they just sit at home on the dole, voting for themselves?
