Portfolioing

Bookwork rules our daily schedules nowadays and it's big fun. Even more after our first bookcrit this year with WCRS on Friday. We saw Oli and Alex, a team who helped us a great deal. We have a few new pieces and they seemed to liked them and wanted more, so we give them more.

This week starts off with seeing Rory at The Talent Business and an integrated agency about potential freelance work tomorrow. We're charged.

  3. Does anyone know what agency Nikki & Simon are at now?

    The were at VCCP!

Did you keep in touch with them Wal? I remember you going to a workshop they held a while back.

  4. Rory from 'The Talent Business' was no help at all. The fact that ypu can't get hold of him in the first place is annoying enough. Don't rely on recruiment places Wal. We did it on our own and never looked back.

    Fish.

  8. SImon and Nikki are doing a bit of freelance in a little place up near marylebone, (dont know the agency's name) we saw them at the end of last year... unless you have your thinking caps on, you wont find them ;)

we've had lizh for a while, its not the most straightforward way of getting things. had a placement at karmarama on hold for far too long now. its all about doing your own leg work i reckon.

  9. Simon & Nikki were fab when I showed them my book a few times... unfortunately I've lost touch having had long stints of freelance.

If you can get to meet them, they'll help you with your book no end!

  10. There's no point seeing headhunters or contacting agencies directly because there's nothing going on out there. At all.

Lets hope things improve as quickly as they declined.

If you don't try, it'll never happen!

  15. Wal&Jai, ironically, your tireless optimism is quite tiring...
