Sweet, our good friends James and James just got hired yesterday on their first advertising job. We've been sharing experience with those guys for ages, and after two year of placements they made it. So here's a happy happy from us – do well guys, we're sure you will. We'll try to catch up that and get ourselves a job in the new year as well :)
Wow, people are still hiring?! That's awesome.
ReplyDeletewhere did your mates get hired? It would help others to know....
ReplyDeleteI agree with Mr. Above. Shed those details Wal!
ReplyDeleteI hear WCRS are still hiring. Some friends of mine turned a 2 month placement into a job the other week.
Its just the WPP agencies that aren't hiring, thats Grey CHI, JWT, Ogilvy and a few more. They're having a review in February but rumor has it it could last most of 2009.
ReplyDelete2020 london is the lucky agency to have those guys on their payment role.
ReplyDeletecracking dm out of that place. congrats james and james.
ReplyDeleteNo need for sarcasm above...it's an achievement to get hired in these times.
ReplyDeletebe nice guys. i actually think 9.07 was serious, 2020 london does some wicked dm work that rocks at the awards, some great integrated work there.
ReplyDeletehahaah, I read that comment back I think its genuine too. This blog's got such a great bitchy vibe. hhahah, Are we all tryin to be hard line adverters?
ReplyDeleteI know I base my advert persona on the Graham Fink. Well done Jai and Wal, as the guy above says. A job's a job.
'well done Jai & Wal" ????
ReplyDeleteAbove - what have J&W done to deserve your congratulations? They've not got a job, their friends have if you'd read their write up!!!
2 years of placements - fuck a duck! Congrats indeed, it takes real graft to keep going for that long.
ReplyDeleteHave James & James been on the job hunt for 2 years?
ReplyDeleteIt's not Jai & Wal who have landed a job!
2 years is normal. It took me 2 and a half years (without doing a course). I know a team, a really good team, that have been out 5 years, still going...just unlucky. You can't stop when you've come that far!
ReplyDeletechrist, you have to stop after five years!!!! you make your own luck and if you really want a job you will get one
ReplyDeleteit gives me hope to know that people are still getting hired.
ReplyDeletereally nice.
